REVIEW PANEL
ART GRANTS REVIEW PANEL
The Eagan Community Foundation is looking for 6 community members to join board members in reviewing arts funding requests received as we launch our new Art Works Legacy Fund.
Since 1990, the Foundation has awarded over $200,000 to community organizations working to make Eagan a better place to live, learn, work, and play for all residents. Our new Art Works Legacy Fund now enables us to distribute approximately $40,000 annually in arts funding for South Metro organizations doing programming in Carver, Scott, Dakota, Rice, and Goodhue counties.
We are creating a panel of reviewers to help ensure the funds are distributed thoughtfully across our geographic area and across art disciplines. We welcome individuals who:
have experience in arts programming (as artists, organizers, or administrators), or
are well-connected to and knowledgeable about the arts scene in their community, whether through participation, attendance, or advocacy.
As a panelist, you’ll help review grant applications, offer your perspective on arts and culture in our programming area, and help ensure community voices shape funding decisions.
Time Commitment:
We are asking Review Panelists to spend about 8 hours over a period of 4 weeks reviewing, scoring, and participating in final grant award decisions. This would involve:
Online Orientation/Training: This can be done in person or remotely - approximately 45 minutes. An online orientation will include introduction to the Foundation, review of application process, scoring matrix, and general grant priorities. Date options include:
Monday, August 11 - 5:00 PM
Wednesday, August 13 - 6:00 PM
Wednesday, August 13 - 7:30 PM
Reviewing and scoring of submitted grant proposals (done remotely on your own time, approximately 4 hours (depending on final number of applications)
Grants Selection Night: Wednesday, August 20, 5:00 - 8:00 PM at Eagan City Hall (approximately 3 hours - dinner served)
Opportunity to participate in Community Grants Awards Breakfast - Thursday, September 18 (2 hours)
