
ART WORKS LEGACY FUND
Art Works Legacy Fund Application
To be eligible for arts funding, organizations must:
have less than five hundred thousand ($500,000.00) dollars in annual operating expenses;
be an arts-focused organization (meaning the organization’s mission includes without limitation the creation of access to the arts, support or provision of arts education, engagement of people in arts performances or arts exhibits, support of individual artists, or support of arts appreciation), or a non-arts organization seeking funding for an arts-focused project.
For purposes of this criterion, the “arts” shall be defined to include, without limitation, the fields of dance, theater, music, writing, ceramics, sculpture, painting, drawing, photography, film, digital and graphic design;
reside in or serve all or a portion of the South Metro Area, which, for purposes of this criterion shall be defined as Carver, Scott, Dakota, Rice, and Goodhue counties in Minnesota
not be a religious organization, government or municipal entity, or political organization or campaign.
Priority Considerations: An applicant organization shall be given priority if it serves Eagan and/or Eagan’s contiguous communities and demonstrates a dedication to organizational sustainability practices.
Use Restrictions: Funds may be used for general operational support, including the creation of sustainable salary structures, and/or specific project development and implementation.
Funds may not be used for the following purposes:
as contribution to annual fundraising drives
as contribution to another endowment fund
for debt retirement or deficit financing
for projects that have already been completed
for scholarships, or
for travel or conference expenses
