GUIDANCE FOR BOOSTER CLUB SCHOLASRHIP LEADS

The Eagan Community Foundation awards scholarships to graduating high school seniors living in Eagan or attending a high school in Eagan. Scholarships are awarded based on criteria determined by the scholarship donor such as academic merit, financial need and other requirements.

SCHOLARSHIP TIMELINE

September/October | Budget: As you plan your future year, consider if you would like to include an Eagan Community Foundation scholarship in your budget. If yes, determine size and quantity of scholarships. Depending on the number of seniors in a given year, some groups decide to have smaller but more scholarships (if there are many seniors) or larger but fewer scholarships (if there are fewer seniors).

Our new minimum scholarship size is $750. Some groups are grandfathered in at $500. However, our hope is to increase ALL scholarships to a $750 minimum by 2027. If you are below $750, please consider:
2025 - $600
2026 - $675
2027 - $750

As you budget, remember to include the Foundation’s Admin Fee for the scholarship (10% - maxes out at $300). This fee helps cover about half the costs of the program, such has application software, awards event, booklet, etc.

November | Renewal Letters Sent: We send out our renewal letters. These include information about last year’s scholarship you hosted as well as important details about the award year, such as the date for the scholarship awards event.
