The Eagan Community Foundation encourages, supports, and enhances ideas, funding, and collaborative action to meet community needs. Our events and programs are made possible through the generous support of our sponsors and donors. You can review our 2023 year-end letter here.

As a nonprofit organization, we rely on scholarship donations and financial sponsorship to support our programs; we are a 501(c)(3) entity and contributions are tax deductible. In accordance with IRS regulations, no goods or services are provided in exchange for a contribution.
SCHOLARSHIPS
The Scholarship Program awards scholarships to graduating high school seniors living in Eagan or attending a high school in Eagan. Each year we administer and award scholarships to many deserving high school graduates who reside in or attend school in Eagan. Each year over 60 donors from the Eagan community support over 100 scholarships. The awards and recognition event is typically in mid April.
COMMUNITY INITIATIVES
Our Community Grants Program supports nonprofit organizations and efforts to help make Eagan a better place to live, learn, work, and play for all. The Community Grants Program and other community initiatives are supported by funds raised at our annual fundraiser as well as other donations.
FIDUCIARY AGENT
The Eagan Foundation is available to serve as the fiscal agent for charitable groups in Eagan who have not yet applied for their own IRS tax exempt status. Donors to the activities of those community groups may have the benefit of receiving a charitable deduction for their contributions and the Foundation assures that donations are accounted for and expended according to IRS guidelines.
