The Eagan Foundation is governed by enthusiastic and committed volunteer members of the Eagan community who are willing to share their skills and expertise.

Interested in Serving as a Board Member?

Eagan Foundation has a “working board” whose members serve on one or more committees that support the strategic goals of the organization.  The highlights:

  • New board term will begin in October
  • Board meetings are monthly on the 2nd Thursday at 5:30 PM
  • Average monthly time commitment ranges from 3 to 12 hours a month, depending on the season and the committee(s) you serve on (the average time commitment 12 hours a month)
  • A board term is 3 years. You may serve up to 3 terms (9 years total)
  • Qualified candidates either work in or live in Eagan
  • A list of committees can be found in our Board Member Application
  • Note: If you have a senior high school student, they would not be eligible for an Eagan Foundation scholarship while you are serving on the board
  • Youth Members: Each year two youth members also serve on the board (in two year terms – Sophomore and Junior years). Members typically come from EHS-Interact or other community service groups.

The Eagan Foundation is looking for individuals who have expertise in a variety of areas including:

  • Event Planning
  • Finance (CPA or QuickBooks™ experience an asset)
  • Fundraising
  • Human Resources
  • Information Technology (board enabling – i.e. DB, collaborative tools, web development)
  • Law
  • Marketing and Public Relations
  • Organizational Governance
  • Project Management

In addition to the above areas of expertise, we also seek passionate individuals that may just have general experience or interest in volunteering. Eagan Foundation invites applications from individuals representing the diversity of the Eagan Area.
