Minnesota Festival of Trees -
On Saturday, May 17, 2008, the Eagan Foundation sponsored a booth at the Minnesota Festival of Trees. It was a family event designed to make the public aware of the proper care of trees and included information booths with tree care professionals and master gardeners to answer questions on trees, plantings and how to make rain water gardens. There were 45 of the most talented tree climbers in Minnesota competing to make it into the Master’s Challenge.
Hodge Podge Halloween- Safe Trick or Treating!
On Sunday, October 28, 2007, the Eagan Foundation participated in another fun and safe trick or treating event for young children. We were one of about 12 community organizations that gave away treats, hosted "Boo-Bingo" and had an outdoor trail for older kids. Our volunteers dressed up for the event and had fun entertaining everyone in the area.
Fall Cleanup - Eagan Central Park
Good for the Environment, Good for the City.
On Saturday, October 27, 2007, the Eagan Foundation held its fourth annual fall cleanup event. This day turned out to be a sunny but windy day. While there was a smaller turnout then in past years, we appreciated the volunteer efforts to cleanup Eagan's Central Park.
Past volunteers have included Eagan Foundation Board Members and their families, former board members, Girl Scout Troops, members of the Eagan Teen Advisory Board, members of the Southwest YMCA Teen Group and more. The City of Eagan's Maintenance Department generously provides the garabage bags and hauls away the trash collected during the clean-up. | |
